Violinist and performer Natálie Kulina (1996) mainly focuses on new music and interdisciplinary and interactive arts. Coming from the culturally abundant region of South Moravia in the Czech Republic, she grew up fostering her love not only for music, but also visual arts, theatre and literature, all of
which are prominent in her personal musical projects.
She divides her time between work in various contemporary music ensembles (she has performed as a violinist in electro-acoustic Ensemble Resilience or concertmaster in De Doelen Ensemble), orchestra playing, chamber music and solo projects (some developed under Rizoom network), working closely with composers, recording newly written works and project participation in film and theatre.
Natálie graduated with a Masters degree specialising in new music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2022. When not performing, Natálie takes on backstage roles in projects in institutions such as Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ, Gaudeamus Festival or Prix Annelie de Man, and researches reformatting and reframing of concert experiences to include and reach wide range of audiences and centre stories that matters to us today.
